First Years’ 2016_2017 Orientation

The Chairman, Department of Geospatial and Space Technology,  Dr.-Ing. S.M. Musyoka, addressed the 2016/2017 first years during the Orientation Week, on 11th September, 2015 at American Wing Building, Room AW 404, Main Campus.

The University of Nairobi had its 2015 First Year’s intake on 8th September 2015. The intake took place across all of University of Nairobi’s campuses in Kenya and basically involved student registration and orientation for an entire week. During the admission week, the various departments existent in the university orient their respective First Years and equip them with information necessary to aid their smooth stay and undertaking of their course units in the university. Representatives from other facilities available at the university also participate in the orientation like the Library Facilities and various sports and clubs.

The Department of Geospatial and Space Technology held its main orientation on 11th September, 2015 with several members of staff present to give orientation speeches to the First Years. They were officially, cordially and warmly welcomed by the Chairman of the Department of Geospatial and Space Technology, Dr.-Ing. S.M. Musyoka, at the American Wing Building, Room AW 404, Main Campus.

In general, the orientation was successful as can be attested by those who were present and we would like to congratulate the current First Years in their successful admission into the university and also wish them success in the 5-year program with the department. Buckle up because it is going to be such a worthwhile journey!
